Lightzone for fuji1/5/2024 In dt I can zoom out and see the effect.Ĭan I just say it’s a pleasure to have a discussion as this without all the “mine is better than your’s”ĭiscussions on some sites such as DP it’s like WW3 or it’s like questioning the posters manhoodīoth darktable and RawTherapee are exceptional and I will continue using both. I've not used Lightzone in a while and just now, I downloaded it and tried it out. I think it supports compressed RAF - it uses LibRaw which has supported compressed RAF for more than a year. The biggest con and which stops me using RT more is having to view modules that are 1.1 at 100%, I’ve tried and tried using the detail windows but just cannot see it. LightZone definitely supports uncompressed RAF. This is probably just a personal thing but I find dts modules much easier to finely adjust. If you want something free, get Fuji's Silkypix. I in no way would use it for any kind of X-Trans development. It manages to be worse than even ACR in some respects (for example, introducing false aliasing), which is quite a 'feat'. Not having to be at 100% zoom to see effects. All in all, for X-Trans RAW's, LightZone is the worst of the bunch even as of the just-released beta14. The ease of exporting to Flickr and google photos.īeing able to fine control sliders and curves using scroll wheel. I am able to load and process a RAW file in landscape mode without issue. It seems to load the top 2/3 of the image file. When I load a Fuji X-PRO1 RAW file in portrait mode I end up with a portion of the image. Slowly I realised that I could achieve better clear details in RT using the RL Deconvolution sharpening with damping set to zero.Ĭrop and rotate, plus the perspective correction. As I continue to learn the software I ran into an issue I hope you can help me resolve. When I returned to photography around seven years ago and being exclusively on Linux, I decided on darktable.įast forward, two and a half years ago I bought a Fuji X-Trans camera.
